Google Classroom Reflection

Before this class I had never used or experimented with the google classroom tool. But now after this assignment i can see a lot of great uses for it as a teacher a learner and/or a parent. For all of these roles it can be used as an effective communication tool. If a student misses class and is sick they can check the google classroom board, And if the teacher uses this for their class the student can instantly get their missed assignments and view a summary for class that day. It can also be effective for if a student or parent has homework or inquiries about their child, to be able to write to the teacher and get quicker feedback than an email or having to drive up to the school. This makes grading and assigning assignments so much more convenient for the teacher and pretty much negates any excuses students can come up with for missing assignments. 

I wonder how many classrooms are using this today and if it has been as beneficial as i would expect it to be. At the same time I wonder if it eventually will take over teaching completely and become a form of online class, for high school and younger students. I think this could also be useful in other fields and not just teaching, but businesses as well. For more advanced and lucrative businesses it could be viewed as a bulletin or discussion board.
