3D Printing Reflection

I think 3D printing is another revolutionary tool to help educate kids in the newer generation. 3D printing allows kids to be more engaged and be able to do more hands on projects. At a young age being able to work hands on is extremely vital in the classroom. Many students dislike school at a young age because they are bored and/or don't understand the material. However with 3D printing its pretty self explanatory for any grade level and allows students to safely interact with technology. Not only does it help with hands on learning but it helps those who are more visual learners as well. Growing up I was more of a visual learner and being able to see things printed out and in color and in shapes would have been very beneficial opposed to printed hand outs, and black and white text on homework.
The Smithsonian museum has almost everything you can imagine, and the capability to bring it all to the 3D printer, which would really take a lot of pressure of a teachers shoulders to find hands on activities because they can create their own now.
